Photo Booth - History and Present

How old is the Photo Booth? When did it start? Who has used it? Why is it so popular?

Learn about the photo booth before taking more photo and discuss these questions with your group. I have included two articles for you to read before you take more photographs.

The first article answers when the photo booth was invented. The second article discusses photo booths that use chemicals. The author considers these "original photo booths."

After reading and discussing the articles, take more Photo Booth pictures. For this assignment

Take a lot of photos!

Choose 5 pictures to post on your blog

You must have taken the pictures

You must select different filters/effects for each picture that you post. (5 pictures/5 different filters)

Title the blog post My Photo Booth Pictures

First Post, First Quiz, Second Semester

Working in groups or pairs, you will create your first blog post and title the subject, "First Post, First Quiz, Second Semester"

When finished, send the blog POST link to the teacher (Mr. Farley) at his PUSD email address. The email subject should begin with Period 1, Photo 1 _____. (I added the bold type; you will not use bold type for your subject.)

In the future you will also see a learning objective at the bottom of the blog. A learning objective is a teacher term for what the teacher is supposed to teach.

Gmail and Blogger

1. Create a gmail account that is appropriate for school, college and work.

2. Create a blog name that is appropriate and easy for the teacher to grade.

3. Send the teacher an email to his Pittsburg Unified email address with the names of your group members in the body of the email.

4. Include the link to your blog

5. In the subject, write Period ____, Photo 1 (If you are in Period 1, 5 or 6, please enter your period.)
