Period 6 - Final Exam without Seniors


Friday was the 70th anniversary of D-Day. D-Day was a brutal WWII battle.


1 Create a blog post title Final Exam. When finished, send the link to my work AND school email. List the subject as Period 5, Photo 1 Final Exam.

In the body of the post, answer the following.

2. Who was the famous war photographer who stormed Normandy with the soldiers during WWII? How many photos survived? What photo agency did this photographer create after the war? Who were the other founders?

3. Choose one of my photos to edit.

Take the original photo and turn it black and white. You may crop the photo, straighten or "un-straighten." You may change the exposure and white balance. You may have fun, but be kind. Add the link to the photo you chose.

For the last assignment, you posted your three favorite pictures. You also provided three reasons that each photo was one of the three favorite photos you took. For this assignment, post three of your best photos and provide three reasons to support your decision.

Favorite Photos - Iron Chef boy Farley

This week we are learning the difference between "favorites" and "best."

I started the lesson by reviewing this post discussing some of my favorites and bests. Some of the pictures were both; some pictures were "almosts." Most of the photos were easy to classify.

When we justified our favorites, we provided personal reasons. We liked that the photo included our friends. We laughed when we saw the photo. We liked that the photo helped us remember someone. Our personal reasons were enough.

For this assignment, I also included photos from my Farley Mashup page and a link to Iron Chef America. I gave each group a few mystery objects to include in their photos, such as color, umbrella, statue, shutter speed.
